Glassmaking demonstrations, and exhibits of hand-made glass objects will introduce visitors to the hot glass studio and to exciting programs on offer.
Among the highlights of the event will be offering for sale the exquisite hand-made jewelry from Bead Shop graduates.
This popular, intensive craft entrepreneurship program is aimed at those under-employed who wish to create a small business around jewelry design. Students learn flameworking skills, how to create their own products and how to sell them. They learn how write a business plan, how to photograph their work, and how to use online sales tools like Etsy. They leave the program inspired and armed with tools to enable them to work on their own businesses. Gardens and Glass offers a great opportunity for them to present their work to a new audience.
Tickets are $75 and available at www.glassroots.org. Tickets will also be available at the door for $80.
