Montclair Mom Captures Spirit of 2018 MHS Project Graduation (VIDEO)

If you live in Montclair and don’t know what all those sirens were Thursday night, check out this video.

Montclair mom Jocelyn Hassenfeld was one of the volunteers to chaperone at the 2018 MHS Project Graduation. Hassenfeld used her production/video skills to capture the magic of an annual tradition — the Montclair Project Graduation Parade Route.

Hassenfeld’s video depicts how the entire town celebrates the graduates as they ride, on school buses, escorted by Montclair Police, Fire and EMT, through Montclair, passing all Montclair Public Schools along its 25-minute route before leaving Montclair to drive to a secret party destination (this year it was Bowlmor Lanes in White Plains).

Hassenfeld describes her video by saying “Montclair has the greatest tradition of parading around town to celebrate our High School Graduates! It was awesome to see it from inside the bus! Thanks for coming out to support the kids.”

Thanks to Hassenfeld for showing how the town showed up to celebrate the Class of 2018.
