New Jersey Saying (Long) Goodbye To PARCC

New Jersey will move away from PARCC, but it will take a couple of years, NorthJersey reports. Gov. Phil Murphy, who had campaigned on a promise to eliminate the testing, said this about transitioning away from PARCC Tuesday:

“While I would have personally liked to have ditched PARCC on Day One, that simply wasn’t feasible,” Murphy said. “But we are now on a clear path away from it.”

However, Murphy said that “we’re not eliminating PARCC completely” and “the goal is to get to a place where we think, you know what, that is acceptable.”
