Support Montclair Community Operation Backpack 2018!

Operation Backpack 2018 is back and runs now through August 3rd. Participating is as easy as filling a backpack with supplies or making a monetary donation.

For the fourth summer, Kimya Nilsen is collecting backpacks filled with school supplies for children living in homeless and domestic violence shelters. Each year the drive has grown. It started with Nilsen picking up backpacks from people’s porches in 2015 to now having four drop off locations in Montclair and Bloomfield this year (listed below). And for the third year, there is also a Crowdrise fundraising page for those who prefer to make a monetary donation

Last year our community collected 185 backpacks + $2125 in our Crowdrise fundraiser, this year’s goals are 200 backpacks and $2500. Let’s do it!
