Montclair’s Biggest Party, Oktoberfest, is Back! Saturday, Sept 22

This year’s Oktoberfest from Montclair Center BID and the Pig & Prince features more beers, more vendors and more music!

Dance, drink artisan beers and enjoy fine foods all afternoon at Montclair’s Oktoberfest at Lackawanna Plaza on Saturday, Sept. 22 from 12 noon-8 pm. Presented by the Pig & Prince Restaurant and Montclair Center BID, the adult-focused event features more than a dozen local and traditional Oktoberfest style craft beers, gourmet food vendors and rocking music all day long on the Montclair Center Stage. Admission to this popular and anticipated event is free and open to all.

Music at the Oktoberfest will include performances by KIDS (Indie/Folk), SMOCK (alt/psychedelic), Julie’s Party (American roots), Pioneer the Eel (indie/art rock) and the Watchung Mountain Riders (rock and roll/jam). Izabelle the Amazing will also be visiting with her Hula hoops.

“Everyone looks forward to Oktoberfest,” said Israel Cronk, executive director of the Montclair Center BID. “It’s one of the biggest parties of the year and we hope everyone comes out to enjoy the fall weather and all the festivities.”

Oktoberfest is made possible by the Montclair Center BID and the Pig & Prince restaurant. The event has been generously supported by Bella Arte Tattoo, Tortoise and Blonde, Cool Cat Music Company, Salt Float Center and Corra.

FamilyFest will also be taking place in Montclair Center on Saturday, Sept. 22, in nearby Crane Park, located at Glenridge and Greenwood Avenues. The free family-friendly event will take place from 12-4pm and includes Montclair Center merchants, a scavenger hunt, face painting, games, and craft vendors.

In case of inclement weather, both events will be held on Sunday, Sept. 23

The Oktoberfest is presented by the Pig & Prince and the Montclair Center BID to activate and highlight the downtown section of Montclair throughout bringing foot traffic to the area, bolstering inter-business relationships and partnerships, and strengthening Montclair’s renowned artisan-based economy.

Free and Fun Activities for Kids and Families Saturday, Sept 22 from 12-4 pm

Presented by the Montclair Center BID, the FamilyFest at Crane Park will take place on Saturday, Sept. 23 from 12-4 pm.
