On Thursday, October 18th at 7pm, the Montclair Women’s Club will host the program “Breast Cancer Myths: What’s Fact? What’s Fiction?,” presented by breast oncologist Dr. Priya Jadeja, MD with breast navigator Karen Loewen, RN and breast navigator. Both are part of Summit Medical Group. This program, free and open to the community, will provide cutting edge information on the pros and cons of genetic testing, the impact of family history on breast cancer risk, the link between nutrition and breast cancer prevention, and other important topics. The program will be held at the Montclair Women’s Club at 82 Union Street Montclair starting at 7:30pm. Doors open at 7pm with light refreshments and a special “pink cocktail.”
Priya Jadeja, MD has expertise in the treatment and management of both benign and malignant diseases of the breast, breast conserving surgery and advanced techniques in nipple-sparing mastectomy. She brings a passionate and personal approach to breast cancer care and provides patients with the most current and advanced options for breast conservation. Dr. Jadeja completed her General Surgery residency at the Cleveland Clinic and Breast surgical oncology fellowship at Columbia University Medical Center. She is a member of Summit Medical Group’s Breast Surgery team.
The Montclair Women’s Club offers programs free to members every other Friday afternoon as well as evening and weekend programs.
