09/29/2018 (Park Street): Officers were dispatched to a Park Street business on a report of a physical disturbance. An on-scene investigation led to the arrest of a 28-year-old West New York man who was charged with Aggravated Assault, Unlawful possession of a weapon, and Possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.
09/29/2018 (Bloomfield Avenue): Officers were dispatched to a Bloomfield Avenue office on a report of several individuals who entered the building and refused to leave after being asked to by staff. Upon police arrival, the individuals continued to refuse to leave. A 48 y/o male from New York, NY, a 37 y/o male from Duluth, MN, a 55y/o female from Winona, MN, and a 49 y/o male from Newark, NJ were arrested and each charged with Defiant Trespass. A fifth individual was charged with Defiant Trespass, and Hindering Apprehension for providing a false name.
09/28/2018 (Claremont Ave): A resident reported his Toyota Prius was entered sometime in May and approximately $1500.00 in camera equipment was stolen.
09/28/2018 (Glen Ridge Parkway): A wallet and clutch were reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle on Glen Ridge Parkway. Cash and miscellaneous cards were removed. The suspect is described as a black male, late teens/early twenties, 5’08”-5’10” tall, wearing a denim jacket and a dark colored fanny pack.
10/01/2018 (Orange Rd): An Orange Rd resident reported her unlocked Honda Accord was entered over-night. $150 air of sunglasses and loose change were stolen. The suspect is described as a black male wearing a red hat and a dark colored track suit with stripes going down the sides.
10/01/2018 (Grenada Place): A resident reported her unlocked vehicle was entered overnight and rummages through. No items were reported missing.
10/01/2018 (Glenridge Avenue): An unlocked vehicle was entered while parked in the Bay Street extension lot. Cash and miscellaneous cards were removed.
10/01/2018 (Cloverhill Place): An unlocked bicycle was stolen from a Cloverhill Place residence. The bicycle is described as a grey Nishiki Tamarck with blue lettering, seven speed, 22 inch frame.
09/29/2018 (Bloomfield Avenue): A men’s backpack was stolen from inside of a Bloomfield Avenue business. The suspect fled east on Bloomfield Avenue. The bag contained cash and keys.
