Burglary/Theft

11-08-2018 (CVS, Claremont Avenue) Shoplifting of numerous containers of laundry detergent. The suspect is described as an African-American male in his mid-20’s, wearing a blue windbreaker.

11-09-2018 (Prospect Avenue) Theft of a white Mercedes Benz S550 from the driveway of a home. This vehicle was located within hours by Montclair Detectives, parked and unoccupied in Newark.

11-09-2018 (Greenview Way) Theft of a black Mercedes Benz E30 from the driveway of a home. This vehicle was located within hours by Montclair Detectives, parked and unoccupied in Newark.

11-09-2018 (Greenview Way) A parked vehicle was entered and pair of sunglasses taken.

11-09-2018 (Greenview Way) A parked vehicle was rummaged through and pair of sunglasses taken.

11-13-2018 (Maple Avenue) Theft of a bookbag which had been left unattended on the front porch of a home.

Miscellaneous

11-06-2018 (Montclair Library, South Fullerton Avenue) Vandalism to the Montclair Public Library. A juvenile who had been asked to leave the library threw a rock at the exterior of the building, breaking a window. This juvenile fled the area on foot.

Arrest

11-06-2018 (Orange Road) A 27-year-old Montclair woman was arrested on open warrants out of Wayne and Ogdensburg, totaling $3,000.
