Name: Carley Storm

Where do you live? Bloomfield, NJ, born and raised.

When did you move there? I moved back in 2016, after living in London, Rome, and NYC.

How do you make a living? OR What is your everyday passion? My passion is to create photos and video for small businesses to stand out and tell their unique stories using visuals. I own Carley Storm Photo + Video.

Coffee, tea or … ? Both. All day. Don’t make me choose! I love small businesses and always have client meetings in local cafes: Cafe Giotto, Java Love, and I am so excited about the new 23 Skiddoo.

What’s your idea of a perfect weekend day? Walking around the ‘burbs, letting my son, George, run around, and spend time with my husband.

What’s your favorite local restaurant? After living in Rome for 5 years, I need my Italian fix. Salute always hits the spot, and I like to pretend I’m still in Italy when I’m at Cafe Giotto.

What’s on your nightstand? A picture I took of my husband with George in LBI. It was his first time ever on the beach. I also have the best smelling candle ever to exist (Clean Crisp White) from Chelsea Square, and the book I’m devouring, Building a Story Brand by Don Miller.

What are you listening to? Ever since I saw Wyclef at the Wellmont, I’ve been listening to the Fugees nonstop. It feels good in my soul.

What are your current indulgences? Burritos at Tingas, the Greek salad at Falafel Hut, and a smoothie at Joyist. It seems like I don’t leave that block!

What talent would you most like to have? Make laundry clean itself!

What’s the worst-kept (or best-kept!) secret about your town? The restaurant scene in downtown Bloomfield? Anthony’s Cheesecake is an unsung brunch hero, and you haven’t lived until you’ve tried the fried chicken from The Wooden Spoon.

What do you hope they say about you at your funeral? “She really knew how to live.”
