Where to you live? East Orange
When did you move there? When I was three years old. Prior to that, I lived with my parents in Montclair.
Where did you grow up? I grew up between East Orange (educated) and Montclair (family).
How do you make a living? OR What is your everyday passion? I am a preschool educator. I worked for the Montclair Child Development Center from 1997-2011. I thank MCDC for giving me and my three children a Head Start and instilling the foundation of education within us. I currently work for the Orange Board of Education. I also love selling (and wearing!) Paparazzi Accessories.

What’s your idea of a perfect weekend day? Spending time with family, community service, going to NYC with family and date nights at local restaurants with my husband, James Puryear.
What’s your favorite local restaurant? Cuban Pete’s (I love the coconut rice), but I have a very diverse love of food.

What are your current indulgences? Chocolate, scrapbooking
What talent would you most like to have? Singing
What’s the worst-kept (or best-kept!) secret about Montclair? All of the small boutiques and cafes.
What do you hope they say about you at your funeral? I made a difference by empowering and inspiring people to the fullest in everything that I did and said.
