Suspect in Montclair Shooting At Bloomfield Ave. Barber Shop Arrested in Newark



On 11-17-2018 at approximately 1900Hrs, officers were dispatched to the area of Bloomfield Avenue and Mission Street on a report of shots fired. Upon arriving, officers located the victim, a 26yoa Montclair man, laying on the floor of a barber shop. The victim had been shot on Bloomfield Avenue and made his way into the barber shop, where he collapsed. Officers rendered medical aid, turning the victim over to Montclair Ambulance for treatment and transport to Mountainside Hospital. The victim is currently listed in stable condition. Through investigation, Montclair Detectives identified Mr. Rueben Moore, 28yoa from Montclair, as the suspect in this incident. Mr. Moore has been charged with Attempted Murder, Aggravated Assault, and Weapons Offenses.

On 02-13-2019, Montclair Detectives located and arrested Rueben Moore in the City of Newark. He was arrested without incident. No injuries were reported. Montclair Police would like to thank Newark Police Department for their assistance during this apprehension.
