MEDICARE FOR ALL: What is it? Why do we need it? How do we get it? Join an esteemed panel of experts and find the answers to all your questions.
The 2018 midterm campaigns launched the term Medicare for All (M4A) into the mainstream political dialog. Voters started showing up at local candidate town halls and asking politicians for their positions on it. Some 70% of Americans now favor it, according to a Reuters Aug. 2018 survey.
But what is “it”? What exactly does Medicare for All entail? Does it differ from single payer? Is it better than the Affordable Care Act (aka Obamacare)? Is it the same plan that Canada has? England? France? Germany? Norway? How do we pay for it?
