Montclair Police Department Promotes Three Officers

Two Montclair police officers were promoted and one achieved permanent status during a swearing-in ceremony held Monday, February 11 in Municipal Council Chambers. Municipal Clerk Linda Wanat administered the oath of office to Michael DeGrazio, Kevin Webb and Erica Febus.

Promoted to Lieutenant:

Michael DeGrazio joined the Department 2004 before being assigned to the Detective Bureau in 2012. He was promoted to Sergeant in 2014 and served as a supervisor in the Juvenile Aid Bureau and the Patrol Division. In addition, Mike has spent the last several years as a member of the Department’s Honor Guard, some of which was spent as the unit’s primary supervisor. Mike will be assigned to the Patrol Division as a Lieutenant. Mike also has a B.A. from William Paterson College.

Promoted to Sergeant:

Kevin Webb joined the Department in 2009. During his time with this Department, he has been assigned to the Patrol Division. Kevin has also served as Field Training Officer for the Department, having been given the responsibility to use his knowledge and experience to train our newly hired officers. He has a B.A. from Rutgers University. Kevin will be assigned to the Patrol Division as a sergeant.

Promoted from probationary to permanent status:

Yerica Febus is a Newark native who has five years of experience with the NJ Transit Police. Officer Febus graduated from the Essex County College Police Academy in Newark last June.
