Montclair Crime: Three Suspects Arrested For Burglarizing Parked Cars


The week in Montclair crime from D/Lt. David O’Dowd, Montclair Police Department:


03-09-2019 (Valley Road) A 42-year-old Elmwood Park woman was arrested and charged with DWI.

03-09-2019 (Christopher Street) Three suspects were arrested, following a foot pursuit, for burglarizing parked vehicles in the area. A 19-year-old East Orange man was charged with Obstruction. A 16-year-old Montclair male was charged with Burglary, Obstruction, and Resisting arrest. A 17-year-old Montclair male was charged with Conspiracy to Commit Burglary.


03-06-2019 (St. James Church, Valley Road) Attempted burglary to the church office entry door. The door was damaged in the attempt, but entry was not gained to the structure.

03-08-2019 (N. Fullerton Avenue) Burglary to a multi-family residence. A video game system was taken in this incident.

03-10-2019 (Upper Mountain Avenue) Burglary to a residential garage. Power tools were taken in this incident. Garage windows were broken to gain access.


03-07-2019 (Frink Street) Graffiti was painted on the side of an office building

03-07-2019 (Roosevelt Place) Theft of delivered packages from an apartment building. The packages contained electronics and jewelry.
