This weekend shop local at Just Jersey, located at 179 Glenridge Avenue, to join the fight against hunger. The event commemorates the partnership between Just Jersey and Food for Thoughts Cards, in their ongoing effort to support the mission of Toni’s Kitchen in Montclair.
This Saturday, in celebration of National Peanut Butter and Jelly Day, Food for Thoughts Cards will double their donation for any cards purchased. Just Jersey will donate 10% of all sales that day to Toni’s Kitchen. Peanut butter and jelly sandwiches (New Jersey shaped, of course) will be served from 11 until 5:00 pm. Come out and try some locally-made peanut butter from Cape May Peanut Butter Company and a delicious assortment of jam from Jams by Kim, who have contributed products for the event.
Food for Thought Cards features a line of bread-shaped greeting cards whose products can now be found in retail shops nationwide. With the purchase of each card, a contribution for the cash equivalent of a peanut butter and jelly sandwich is made to a local food pantry. Since the opening of Just Jersey’s Montclair store in September 2018, customers buying cards have enabled the donation of the equivalent of over 400 sandwiches to Toni’s Kitchen.
Just Jersey offers locally made goods from over 200 New Jersey-based artists, designers, and creative small businesses.
