Art Exhibition and Celebration To Benefit SAVE of Essex County

Celestina Ando’s empowering photos will mark Sexual Assault Awareness Month with a one day exhibition and celebration to benefit Sexual Assault and Violence Education of Essex County (SAVE of Essex County).

Montclair photographer, Celestina Ando, will reveal her second collection of photography, entitled EMPOWER, at the Montclair Women’s Club, 82 Union St., Montclair, NJ on Sunday, April 14th from 2:00 – 4:00 pm. April is sexual assault awareness month and all ticket sales will benefit SAVE of Essex County.

SAVE of Essex County is the state designated Sexual Violence Program for Essex County. SAVE provides direct services to survivors and their families and works to prevent sexual violence through education and advocacy. The Center provides a 24/7 toll-free confidential hotline, medical and legal accompaniments, counseling services and prevention education.

Last year, Celestina’s compelling collection of black and white images of powerful women from our community was inspired by the #timesup movement. This year her nod to the strength and power of women incorporates color and beautiful landscapes of New Jersey.

The event will include a special musical performance by Stacia Thiel. Light refreshments will be sponsored by local Montclair food and beverage businesses. A silent auction and covetable raffle items, also made possible by generous donation of local establishments, will be part of the program

Tickets are available for purchase here for $10 in advance and $15 at the door.   Raffle tickets for various raffle items will also be available for purchase on 4/14/19.
