Where do you live? I live at The Green in Bloomfield.
When did you move there? I moved here last March, when I drove up from Florida to start my new position with the YMCA of Montclair.
Where did you grow up? I grew up in Philadelphia, “The City of Brotherly Love” and the most passionate sports fans!
How do you make a living? OR What is your everyday passion? I am the President and CEO for the YMCA of Montclair and I am passionate about helping people and living a healthy lifestyle.
Coffee, tea or … ? Coffee with skim milk for sure, every morning and one after lunch.
What’s your idea of a perfect weekend day? Quality time spent with friends or family. If I could choose any activity, I would probably be on a beach listening to my favorite music, playing some corn hole and having drinks with the special people in my life.
What’s your favorite local restaurant? There are so many amazing restaurants in Montclair but my favorite in the area is The Highlawn Pavilion, I love the atmosphere and views of the New York City skyline.
What’s on your nightstand? A Men’s Health Magazine, a book of inspirational quotes, a Philadelphia Eagles Football helmet, a clock and a bottle of water.
What are you listening to? Satellite radio, a little dose of 80s Music, the Bee Gees and some New Wave Country.
What are your current indulgences? I love to travel and attend sporting events
What talent you would most like to have? I wish I could speak multiple languages.
What’s the worst-kept (or best-kept!) secret about Montclair? I may be biased but I think the best kept secret in Montclair is the community-building that happens at our YMCA.
What do you hope they say about you at your funeral? I hope they say that I was someone who committed my life to helping others, was always optimistic and most importantly, enjoyed nothing more than spending time with my loved ones.
