Shoppers will find a curated selection of annuals, perennials, shrubs and small trees. The sale also includes specialty tomato varieties and culinary herbs. Most of our tomatoes and coleus have been grown from seed in the Master Gardeners’ own greenhouse.
“We have expanded our inventory of native plants so home gardeners can attract native bees, butterflies and birds to their gardens. Examples are: Helianthus divaricatus (native sunflower), Monarda fistulosa (native bee balm), Cephalanthus occidentalis (Buttonbush), and Clethra alnifolia (Summersweet),” said Helen Stack, Plant Sale Chair. Our plant sale list can be found here.
Master Gardeners will help guide the experienced and novice gardener on selecting the right plant for the right location with instructions for its care.
Forms of payment accepted are cash, check and credit cards. Shoppers can also pay with their smartphone via our PayPal link. For ease of shopping, although we have boxes and holding areas for your selections, some customers prefer to bring along a garden or child’s wagon.
Get started on your garden! Don’t forget that plants make wonderful Mother’s Day gifts.
