Montclair Center BID Announces Jason Gleason Named Acting Director

The Board of Directors has announced that Jason Gleason will be the Acting Director of the Montclair Center BID. Gleason, the former board chair, has stepped down from his volunteer position to accept the temporary staff position. The search committee hopes to name a permanent director by February 12, 2020.

Over the next six months, Gleason will be overseeing the development of a strategic plan for the Montclair Center BID as well as organize the 2020 budget.

“We are completely thrilled that Jason will be assuming the leadership responsibilities for the Montclair Center BID,” said Nicole Silva, board member and co-chair of the executive search committee. “His passion for the district and his expertise on the retail and restaurant scene made him a natural choice.”

“The synergy of arts, retail, world-class dining and a caring, involved district makes downtown Montclair vibrant and exciting,” said Gleason. “I look forward to serving this incredible community in this new role, and providing the BID a steady hand during this time of strategic planning and growth.”

Jason Gleason was named as chair of the Montclair Center BID in 2019, after previously serving as Assistant Treasurer/Secretary for 2018. For six years, he was general manager of the Pig & Prince Restaurant, located in Montclair, overseeing a $2M budget and a team of 35 employees.
