Sea Turtle Talk At Aging in Montclair Saturday Social, August 31

Aging In Montclair/AIM invites the community to the August Saturday Social on August 31st from 2-4pm in the AIM Senior Hub located in the Salvation Army Building at 13 Trinity Place in Montclair in the “Coffee Booth” on the middle level. Come and meet old friends and make new ones while enjoying tasty refreshments and interesting conversations.

Guest speakers Bill Deerr and Brandi Biehl from the Turtle Back Zoo will share the fascinating story of the life and struggles of the sea turtle and why we should care.

Sea turtles have been around for more than 100 million years and now they are under constant threat from pollution, boats hitting them and other causes of endangerment. Bill and Brandi will talk about the road to recovery for these intriguing creatures. Find out more about the Sea Turtle Recovery at the Turtle Back Zoo, a long-term hospital for sick and injured turtles.
