The Tour de Montclair, Montclair’s iconic community bike ride, returns this year on Sunday, October 6, at 10 a.m.

The Tour, brought to you by Bike&Walk Montclair and the Montclair Center BID, will feature food, entertainment and — of course — that beautiful ride.

The family-friendly bike ride features the 6 and 12-mile routes that riders have come to know and love.  All new this year is a more challenging 15-mile course for riders who might like to experience the Tour at a faster pace.  The Tour de Montclair begins and ends at Crane Park, near the Geyer YMCA, and will take riders through the four wards of Montclair, highlighting parts of town not easily seen by car. Riders are invited to enjoy the sights at their own pace: fast, slow or anywhere in between!

The Montclair Bread Company will provide donuts, fruit and coffee before the ride and pastries, lemonade and sandwiches afterwards.  Gelati has created a special Tour flavor of their delicious gelato just for the event!   Live music from a Montclair favorite band – Deep Dig – will keepyou moving throughout the event at Crane Park.

Back at Crane Park after the ride, The Northeast Earth Coalition will be giving guided tours of the native plants that beautify the park. And generous sponsor, Zura, will be offering riders post-Tour yoga — perfect for stretching out tight biking muscles!

Registration for the Tour is available online at bikewalkmontclair.org and on the day of the event from 9AM-9:45AM. Riders will start lining up at 9:30AM and the Tour will officially begin at 10AM.

Pre-registration for the 2019 Tour de Montclair is strongly suggested at www.bikewalkmontclair.org. Registration includes a T-shirt, branded string sac, admission to the Tour and a one-year membership to Bike&Walk Montclair.
