October 10, 2019 (Virginia Avenue): The victim reports that sometime during the evening of the 10th, a jewelry box containing over $1,000 in jewelry and a Google Chrome lap top valued at approximately $300 were stolen from her residence.
October 12, 2019 (Bloomfield Avenue): An employee of Diamond Cycle reports that the establishment had been burglarized by three males. Entry was possibly gained through an unsecured window. Proceeds included $300 in cash, a Salsa Beargrease Carbon NX Eagle with navy blue and red coloring on the frame, valued at $2,899, a Giant ATX mountain bike, black and orange in color and valued at $440, and a SE Bike Fat Ripper with a yellow frame and red tires, valued at $949.
October 12, 2019 (Greenwood Avenue): The victim reports that her apartment was burglarized sometime on the 11th between noon and 11:00 PM. Proceeds included a Vizio 65 inch television valued at $400 and an iPhone X valued at $600.
October 12, 2019 (Orange Road): The complainant reports that her single family residence was burglarized sometime between 11:30 AM and 8:30 PM. It appears that the suspect(s) gained entry through an unlocked door. A Macbook Air, valued at $1,200 was reported as stolen.
October 8, 2019 (Claremont Place): The complainant reports that his wallet was stolen from his unlocked motor vehicle sometime between October 6th and 7th.
October 9, 2019 (North Mountain Avenue): The victim reports that her cell phone, an Assurance Wireless Virgin Mobile valued at approximately $55, was stolen.
October 12, 2019 (Bloomfield Avenue): An employee at 7-11 reports that between 12:30 AM and 1:45 AM, a group of 5-7 males entered the store, with one walking behind the counter trying to take a blunt roller from behind the counter. The employee states that the group became disrespectful and shouted profanities at him. The employee stated that he told the group to leave the store and that he was going to call the police. Upon leaving, one male reportedly stole $12 in food while another stole a $2 scratch off lottery card.
October 12, 2019 (Valley Road): The complainant reports that his black Trek bike, valued at approximately $425, was stolen from the rear of his property. The bike was reportedly secured prior to the theft.
October 13, 2019 (Bloomfield Avenue): The complainant reports that his Apple iPhone 10, valued at approximately $1,000, was stolen after he mistakenly left it on a counter at Whole Foods. The suspect is described as a white male with gray hair and a moustache, late 50s to early 60s, last seen wearing a dark blue jacket, gray shirt, blue pants, and gray shoes.
October 14, 2019 (Unknown location in Montclair): The complainant reports that he believes that his iPhone 6, valued at $800, was stolen sometime on October 13th between 5:00 PM and 7:30 PM. The exact location of the alleged theft is not known.
October 10, 2019 (Montague Place): The victim reports that the rear driver’s side window to her Nissan Versa was shattered. Nothing was reported missing from the vehicle.
October 11, 2019 (North Fullerton Avenue): The complainant reports that at approximately 9:00 PM, she and a family member heard a loud bang at the front door. Upon investigating the source of the noise, the family member saw four juveniles in hooded sweatshirts fleeing south on foot.
October 12, 2019 (Bloomfield Avenue/ South Park Street): A 33-year-old Belleville woman was charged with driving while intoxicated.
October 13, 2019 (Bloomfield Avenue/ New Street): A 29-year-old Garfield man was charged with driving while intoxicated.
October 14, 2019 (Valley Road/ Normal Avenue): A 31-year-old Clifton man was charged with driving while intoxicated.
