Montclair Center to Give First 200 Small Business Saturday Shoppers a Free One Day Parking Permit

To celebrate Small Business Saturday, November 30, the Montclair Center BID will gift 200 free one-day parking permits to the first 200 shoppers who present their same-day downtown shopping receipts at the BID tent on Church Street. The giveaway will start at 10 a.m., limit of one per family. Additionally, everyone will enjoy free two-hour parking at all meter spots throughout the holiday season, from November 29-December 26, courtesy of Montclair Township.

The Montclair Center BID will be welcoming everyone on Shop Small Saturday with a station on Church Street from 10 am to 4 pm, with giveaways and a guide to a scavenger hunt contest. Information will also be available on lunch specials throughout the district. Special guests Santa and Mrs. Claus will be visiting and Montclair Center’s mural artist Jhonattan Arango, at 50 Church Street, will be welcoming visitors to help paint his mural! Free one-day parking permits will be given to the first 200 visitors who present receipts from their same-day downtown experience at any Montclair Center retailer or restaurant.

“Besides the world-class dining and the incredible gifts and services you can find downtown,” said Jason Gleason, acting director of the Montclair Center BID, “shopping locally is a reinvestment into our own community – with as much as 2/3 of every dollar staying within Montclair. Shopping locally is really a gift to everyone.”

Small Business Saturday is a nationwide movement to encourage people to shop and support businesses within their local communities. The Montclair Center BID is proud to be a part of Small Business Saturday and will be posting updates and additional information on their Facebook page and Instagram feed.
