Montclair Crime: Stolen Packages, Cell Phone Theft, Shoplifting

Thefts

December 10, 2019 (Church Street): An employee at a parking lot stated that a customer was advised that the fee to park was $10. The customer replied that he only had a $50 bill. When the employee handed the customer $40 as change, the driver took the bills and left without giving the employee the $50 bill.

December 11, 2019 (Norman Road): The complainant reports that packages containing approximately $300 worth of clothing were stolen from her porch.

December 11, 2019 (Essex Avenue): The complainant reports that a cell phone, valued at $1,000, was stolen from the Woodman Field House.

December 12, 2019 (South Park Street): The complainant reports that a duffel bag containing his belongings was stolen from the locker room at the New York Sports Club.

December 12, 2019 (Bloomfield Avenue): The complainant reports that an iPad, valued at $415, was stolen from her office.

December 12, 2019 (Gordonhurst Avenue): The complainant reports that a package containing approximately $65 in merchandise was stolen from his porch.

December 13, 2019 (Gates Avenue): The complainant reports that iron railings that had been removed while the steps to his residence were being repaired had been stolen.

December 15, 2019 (Claremont Avenue): An employee reports that a suspect placed over $155 in merchandise in a bag and left he CVS without paying.

December 10, 2019 (Chestnut Street): A teacher reported finding drawings of swastikas on a desk.
