Unacast, a human mobility insights company, has created a social distancing scoreboard based on tracking smartphone location data, and New Jersey made the top five in terms of staying distant. New Jersey is No. 4 in the country.

Unacast says the tool, which uses smartphone data to track location and mobility, “aims to provide organizations fighting COVID-19 with an understanding of the efficacy of social distancing initiatives — currently seen as the most effective way of slowing the spread of the virus.”
It juxtaposes the Social Distancing score with the number of reported cases, sourced from the Corona Data Scraper, to show correlation with changes in behavior over time.
