Dr. Amedei, with Godlewski, toured Montclair and Llewelyn Park, formerly the “headquarters” of the local Hudson River Valley School artists colony. He also admired the view of Manhattan and the Hudson Bay that had inspired the artists’ romantic vision of the new world’s remarkable natural landscapes. The exhibition is called “Giuseppe Bezzuoli, a Grand Protagonist of Romantic Painting” and opens on April 2. The exhibition will run through July 26, 2020.
