The Montclair Foundation Awards $15,000 From COVID-19 Emergency Grant Fund

Today on Giving Tuesday, The Montclair Foundation’s Grants Committee announced it will be awarding Partners for Women and Justice $10,000 from its emergency fund. An additional $5,000 will go to Toni’s Kitchen in the name of Ann Mernin and her tireless staff and volunteers helping feed those in need.

“As the new Executive Director of Partners for Women and Justice, I am thrilled by the partnership and support offered by The Montclair Foundation. Their recent grant will help us serve even more clients of domestic violence and advocate for the safety of victims in the changing landscape of the court system during the pandemic. I appreciate the Foundation acknowledging the critical work that we do,” says Julie A. Murphy, Executive Director, Partners for Women and Justice.

To date, The Montclair Foundation has now awarded $65,000 from the Covid 19 Emergency Relief Fund for local food pantries, emergency housing, ambulance services and mental health support. Every dollar counts and goes to support those doing the difficult work of providing social services to neighbors, even while putting themselves at risk.
