Montclair High School will celebrate the Class of 2020 with three outdoor celebrations on July 9, at 10 a.m., 2 p.m. and 6 p.m., to accommodate students and two guests.
Here is the email sent to parents:
The past several weeks have yielded the relaxing of restrictions from the Governor of New Jersey pertaining to public gatherings. The restrictions have greatly affected Montclair High School’s ability to plan and provide for a traditional in person graduation ceremony. The relaxation of the restrictions and the proposed 500 person assemblance, starting July 6th in the state of New Jersey, have provided Montclair High School with the ability to assemble an in person celebration of our 2020 Graduates.
On July 9th, 2020, Graduates of the Class of 2020 will be invited to participate in a celebration of their accomplishments as alumni of MHS class of 2020. The ceremony will take place on Woodman Field at three different celebration times.
Each celebration will include the following in-person restrictions:
150 Class of 2020 Graduates at each specified celebration time.
2 Guests per 2020 Graduate at each specified celebration time.
50 School and Emergency Personnel at each specified celebration time.
A full detail of the ceremony is available on our MHS 2020 Graduation website. The Graduation Procedure and Protocol Handbook will provide guidance on requirements and expectations as you plan for your participation in this event. Montclair High School will provide more information about tickets and entry requirements as we move closer to the date of the ceremony. We thank you for your understanding and patience during this time of uncertainty and we look forward to celebrating with our graduates and families!
