The Montclair Chapter of the NAACP announces a Town Hall Series on the Criminal Justice System. The first program will feature Montclair Police Chief Todd Conforti and Deputy Chief Wil Young this Tuesday, June 2, @ 3 PM. (Zoom Meeting details below). BluewaveNJ is a co-sponsor of this event.

Montclair NAACP President Al Pelham stated : As America struggles with its disgraceful history of racism and ” the revolution is being televised, after the tragic incidents of Police Brutality including the recent killing of George Floyd, we need to have an honest dialogue with the leadership of our local law enforcement”

Join Al Pelham as he speaks with Montclair Police Chief Todd Conforti and Deputy Chief Wil Young to discuss their perspective on the current crisis engulfing our nation. They will discuss the MPD’s position on the law enforcement in our community and its training for the use of force. They will also provide an overview of its partnership with the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office on training on the use of force.
