Heading into another week of social distancing to help prevent the spread of COVID-19, because staying home is the only way we are going to flatten the curve. That doesn’t mean your enjoyment of arts and entertainment is over.

Here’s your guide to the latest social distance events to enjoy:

Live Stream Music & Theater

  • Guitarist Anthony Krizan will perform at Mayo Pac on Friday, November 13 at 8 pm in  person at he theaters s well as livestream so you can watch from home, $25-$50.
  • Elvis Costello will do a live Q&A via Zoom to celebrate the release of his latest album, Hey Clockface. Tickets start at about $18.50 and includes the album.

  • Join SOPAC for a virtual fundraiser at The Beat Goes On on Saturday, November 14 at 6  pm. Enjoy an evening of fabulous performances and guest appearances, including a special performance by Richie Furay Music, $100-$1,000.
  • Foo Fighters will play a full set livestreamed from L.A.’s The Roxy on Saturday, November 14 at 8 pm.. A portion of the proceeds will benefit Sweet Relief Musicians Fund, $15.
  • Metallica will perform a live acoustic show from San Rafael, Calif on Saturday, November 14 t 5 pm. The “Helping Hands Concert and Auction” will benefit the band’s charity, All Within My Hands, with 100 percent of the money going to help someone in need.

  • Blake Shelton, Tom Morello, Brandi Carlile and more are participating in Jason Sudeikis’ 4th annual “Thundergong” charity concert on Saturday, November 14 t 8 pm.

  • Check out Montclair Film’s Virtual Cinema’s lineup this weekend. It’s the best way to watch the latest movies from home while supporting our non-profit organization.
  • Newark Museum invites you to join filmmakers from the Newarkive as they discuss Dark City Beneath the Beat with the film’s director, TT the Artist. After you sign up to attend you will also receive a link to stream the film for free, available November 9 through November 16.

  • Mask up, step out, and go support local shops, vendors, and businesses on Bloomfield Ave in Downtown Montclair on Saturday, November 14 from 1 pm – 7 pm. Local shops will have tables, racks, vendors and wares outside for safe and social distanced shopping!
