Montclair Police Department is aware of a reported missing juvenile from Montclair High School, Sergeant Terence Turner tells Baristanet.

However, the student, an MHS senior, was not reported missing to the Montclair Police Department.

“The missing person is a current student at MHS however, she and her family do not reside in Montclair. The student was reported missing by her family to the law enforcement agency where the family resides and they are handling the investigation,” Turner writes.

Turner says the student was reported missing to Woodbridge Police Department. If you have information that could help the investigation, call Woodbridge Police at 732-634-7700.

Superintendent Dr. Jonathan Ponds confirmed the district had been in contact with police, but could not comment further, citing the active investigation.
