The biggest snowstorm in years could be heading our way Wednesday. A Winter Storm Watch is now in effect for Northern New Jersey Wednesday into Thursday morning. The National Weather Service says the Nor’easter is likely to bring the most impactful winter weather in several years.
The Wednesday storm is expected to bring significant snowfall — possibly 18 inches — to portions of the region, with highest confidence in significant snowfall for areas North and West of I-95. Gusty coastal/marine winds and coastal flooding will also be possible Wednesday into Thursday.
Wednesday’s storm, with its combination of gusty winds, significant snow, and high moisture content of the snow, has the potential to cause power outage.
