When You Get Locked Out And Montclair Fire Department Saves The Day (VIDEO)

Montclair resident Dan Hamilton had a 2020 moment.

Hamilton, who has a touchscreen deadbolt lock on his door, got locked out of his apartment Sunday when he took a neighbor’s dog for a walk and left his phone behind. Hamilton had been using a phone app to unlock the door after an issue with Verizon had disabled the key code. A relieved Hamilton got back into his apartment after receiving some very special assistance from Montclair Fire Department.

Montclair Fire Dept. Acting Lieutenant Greg Miller from Truck One came with his crew and put the aerial ladder up to reach the apartment’s balcony, then entered through a door on the balcony.
