Bloomfield, NJ – The show will go on, with COVID safety precautions in place.

Audiences should prepare for early arrival to the performances. House staff for the winter musical will take temperatures as patrons enter the building, and escort each party to their seats, in order to ensure adequate distancing throughout the auditorium. Each party will be limited (in number) to groups of eight. All patrons must wear masks while they are in the BHS building; there are no exceptions.
INTO THE WOODS is produced and directed by Brandon E. Doemling; with musical direction by Michelle Lampert, choreography by Tracey Turner Turano, set design by Ralph Turano, lighting and sound design by Nicholas Von Hagel, and costumes by Liz McCartney. Associate Producer is Abby Maichuk Miles; properties by Roberta Petrik. The cast includes 26 Bloomfield High School students, with a crew of six.
INTO THE WOODS premiered on Broadway in 1987, winning several Tony awards and a devoted fan base, repeated its success with a 2002 Broadway revival, and launched an acclaimed film adaptation in 2014. The play transforms a number of familiar fairy tales into a richer, deeper, morality tale that explores adult questions of longing, purpose, and community, with dark humor and a hauntingly beautiful musical score.
Performances are Thursday, Friday, and Saturday (Feb 25, 26, 27) at 7:00 p.m., and Sunday (Feb 28) at 2:00 p.m., at Bloomfield High School, 160 Broad Street in Bloomfield.
