Sponsored: Choose Joy at SafeSplash. Get Swimming!

There has been much this winter that was out of parents’ control – snow storms, power outages, remote schooling, vaccination roll-outs and more. But families are resilient and can gain back some control and normalcy by planning for summer and all the joy that water can bring. Now is the perfect time to choose joy and get your swimmers ready for summer by enrolling in weekly swim lessons at SafeSplash Swim School in Cedar Grove.

Learning to swim is an essential life skill and there is still adequate time to learn and practice new skills before the outdoor swim season arrives. SafeSplash Cedar Grove has been safely conducting lessons indoors since they reopened in adherence with NJ guidelines in July of 2020. Rigorous COVID-19 protocols include temperature checks, mandatory face masks for those not in the pool, frequent sanitizing and new changing tents in the lobby to help with physical distancing.

Swim Lessons For All Levels

The SafeSplash proprietary curriculum consists of 11 unique instructional levels, and uses a progressive teaching approach that allows swimmers to learn to swim comfortably at an individual pace while creating a learning environment that is not only fun, but allows for maximum skill retention. You can visit the website to register and find the level that is right for your swimmer.

Parent Tot classes, for babies 6 months to 3 years old, enable parents and caregivers to bond with their little ones in a 90-degree sanitized pool as they get comfortable with the water and learn the foundational skills for learning to swim.

Toddler Transition classes, for ages 2 -3 years old, focus on fundamental swimming and water safety skills, while kids learn how to safely be part of a group class. The student to teacher ratio is 3:1 for this age.

Group classes for ages 3 and up are still limited to 3 students per class for the beginner level (a Covid-19 reduction) and have a 4:1 student to teacher ratio for the intermediate and advanced levels where students are swimming full laps and more spread out. Students progress through the levels from water safety skills and basic strokes to advanced stroke technique, endurance and competition skills. Classes are also available for adults and children with special needs.
