Montclair African-American Heritage Foundation 2021 Scholarship Applications Now Open

Montclair, NJ – Applications are now being accepted for the Montclair African-American Heritage Foundation (MAAHF) Annual MAAHF Scholarship.

This year’s scholarship is open to graduating seniors who attend Montclair schools (private, parochial, and public). Applicants and their parents/guardians MUST be residents of Montclair, New Jersey and proof of residential status must be included in the application. Applicants will be evaluated on neatness, promptness and the successful completion of his or her submission. Recipients will be chosen based on several factors, including the latest academic transcript, a brief essay, and a mandatory virtual interview with the Scholarship Committee. In addition, applicants must present documentation of financial need and must show a record of significant progress in core-academic subjects and/or their chosen field of study (i.e. the arts) during their junior year and throughout their senior year. This year’s filing deadline is Monday, May 10, 2021. Additionally, virtual Interviews will take place between Monday, May 17, 2021 and Saturday, May 22, 2021.
