Montclair High School’s Class of 2021 will have a return to a tradition.
Superintendent Dr. Jonathan Ponds announced Friday that this year’s graduating class will walk across the bridge in the Amphitheater, “continuing a long, prestigious tradition.”
“There are countless families who have seen generations walk across the bridge and after a challenging year, I hope this brings joy to all. There will be two ceremonies, one at 10 AM and one at 2 PM. The High School will be providing all details to the seniors and their families,” Ponds wrote in his weekly message.
Last year, MHS’ Class of 2020 graduated in three ceremonies at Woodman Field to allow for social distancing.
Ponds also said that moving up ceremonies in the other schools will take place at Woodman Field (dates and rain dates to be announced). Families will receive four tickets. Masks are required and seating will be three feet apart.
