Before the pandemic, my then 8-year old son and I were fortunate enough to travel to Germany on a vacation with Adventures by Disney. My son had been asking about Germany, its language and food – wondering is it all pretzels and sausages? After comparing a few other Disney destinations, we decided on Germany because I felt it was a great way for my son to experience the language and culture he was asking about.
Honestly, I will remember this trip forever and it’s the reason I’m so passionate about Adventures by Disney tours. Traveling on their guided group vacation really did provide a culturally immersive, once-in-a-lifetime experience just as Disney promised! In fact, every day of the trip truly exceeded our expectations.
Don’t think this trip was about meeting Mickey or having Disney characters surprise us along the way. The “Disney Difference” in my opinion, is going the extra mile to provide quality service, high guest satisfaction and top entertainment that cannot be matched.
Full disclosure, I am the owner of Magic Family Getaways, and an Authorized Disney Vacation Planner; I know the Disney Difference very well – which is why I chose to specialize and work with Disney. What I want to convey to other parents is how the Disney Difference works, and is present at every level the Disney organization.
During our trip to Germany, we experienced VIP customer service, amazing local activities, experienced adventure guides and outstanding meals. There were surprises as well as impromptu fun throughout the trip – no detail left unturned – all with highly qualified teachers and two Disney adventure guides.
The adventure guides work diligently behind the scenes to provide a true authentic experience. The local German guide is extremely knowledgeable; the second guide is a native English speaker and a well trained Disney cast member.
They intentionally planned out our daily schedule. It wasn’t a coincidence that we arrived at the grand Marienplatz in Munich just as the clock chimed 12 or stumbled upon the best photo op of Neuschwanstein Castle. Neuschwanstein is the castle that inspired Walt to create Sleeping Beauty castle at Disneyland. The castle’s history was so interesting, and the story of King Ludwig II of Bavaria — I remember those stories better than my European History class at Drexel!
All hotels, tours, entry tickets, guides, internal transportation, private round trip airport transportation and just about all our meals were covered in the cost of the vacation. These trips may appear to have a high price tag, however the hotels and restaurants are all 4 – 5 star/VIP experiences. So much is included – you simply pack your bags and go, without having to spend hours planning the itinerary. With all the details taken care of by Disney and your travel advisor, it’s worth considering for a wonderful family experience.
Adventures by Disney, in my opinion, is truly a valuable family investment that will provide lifelong memories.
I’ve traveled to Europe quite often for both leisure and work. I’ve even lived there and thought “why should I go with Disney when I can plan on my own,” but I was so wrong. We cannot wait to plan our next adventure and, as the world is opening up again, I hope you will consider an immersive cultural experience in the U.S. or abroad with Adventures by Disney.
I’d be happy to provide more information or help you plan your next trip.
