Montclair Team Bringing Movies To The Village Cinemas at SOPAC

Summer blockbusters are coming to South Orange this summer. The team behind previous efforts to reopen the Bellevue Theatre have moved on and are moving fast with plans to reopen The Village Cinemas at SOPAC on July 22.

Luke Parker Bowles, Patrick Wilson, Brandon Jones, Andy Childs, Vincent Onorati — members of the Cinema Lab team, who until recently were planning to reopen Upper Montclair’s Bellevue Theatre as The Bellevue Montclair, are now focused on renovations at The Village at SOPAC. The revamped theater will offer five screens, new luxe seating, new menu items and updated lobby space. For more information and to get tickets to upcoming shows, visit cinemalab.com.

Cinema Lab is also already involved with plans to reopen the The Showroom in Bradley Beach as The Bradley this fall.

Montclair movie fans will have to wait a little longer to see a film in town. The Bellevue Theatre, now being overseen Bellevue Theatre President Doreen Sayegh, representing Bellevue owner Jesse Sayegh, is expected to reopen this fall. Movies will also return to The Clairidge in October, thanks to an agreement between Montclair Film and Hinck Building owner Dick Grabowsky.
