Montclair Film introduced branding Tuesday for The Clairidge, the six screen, non-profit cinema located at 486 Bloomfield Avenue in Montclair. Developed by Hiker, branding for The Clairidge expresses Montclair Film’s vision for the theaters, with a sophisticated, welcoming identity to compliment the re-designed Clairidge experience created by RHG Architecture+Design. The Clairidge opens its doors to patrons on October 22, 2021 for the Montclair Film Festival. Film schedules and ticketing updates will be available on the cinema’s social media pages, located @theclairidge on Twitter and Instagram, as well as Facebook.com/theclairidge. Montclair Film will also be launching a new website for ticketing for The Clairidge at theclairidge.org soon.
In addition to branding for The Clairidge, Montclair Film has also launched its expanded Membership program, which brings year-round benefits and discounts for members to screenings, special programs, and events at The Clairidge while maintaining early access to the annual Montclair Film Festival, annual Fundraising events, and more. “We were thrilled to partner with Montclair Film on The Clairidge rebrand,” says Gregor Clark, Principal at Hiker. “The mark is inspired both by the legendary history of the theater, which we tried to honor with confidence, and the opportunity to use the gentlest suggestion of an aperture to help frame the strong central ‘C.’ RHG Architecture+Design’s inspired reimagining of the space guided us in crafting a modern, appealing palette to carry the brand forward.”
“We are proud to introduce our patrons to a new experience at The Clairidge,” said Montclair Film Executive Director Tom Hall. “Hiker has created a beautiful identity for The Clairidge that is reflected in the warm, welcoming environment that and RHG Architecture+Design have produced for the cinemas. We hope the new look and feel of The Clairidge inspires our patrons to join us as year-round members as we continue to build a home for film in Montclair.”
