Montclair’s Studio Players, after 22 months away due to the pandemic and Hurricane Ida, is returning to the Mainstage with Greater Tuna by Williams, Howard, and Sears.

Greater Tuna is a madcap send-up of small-town morals and mores immerses us in Tuna, Texas’s third smallest town where the Lion’s Club is too liberal but even Catholics and people from Indiana are welcome. Meet Arliss and Thurston, the town radio hosts; Vera Carp, resident busybody; Didi Snavley, purveyor of used guns; and many many more all played by actors doing triple or quadruple duty! For over forty years, Greater Tuna has been splitting the sides of Americans of all stripes, both the Texan variety and just plain everybody else.
