The Grinch Called Omicron: Safety Protocol Changes and Temporary Closures Due To Covid

The Omicron variant is dominant and it’s making its presence known locally, with some stores and restaurants having to temporarily close or adopt additional safety precautions.

Cornerstone The General Store in Montclair announced the difficult decision to temporarily close for the remainder of the year due to increasing exposures to Covid, including a staff member.

Cafe Moso announced it would be closed beginning Tuesday through New Years due to Covid, cancelling all holiday orders and reservations for that time period and stating that safety is their “first priority.”

Highlawn Pavilion has changed its COVID safety protocols Tuesday to include temperature checks and face masks at all times except when seated at a table.

Montclair has also enacted a 30-day indoor mask mandate.
