Montclair, NJ – Wondering what William H. Macy was doing at Fascino yesterday, other than enjoying Montclair’s very fine Italian? Macy is in New Jersey filming for a new movie – Paramount’s “Maybe I Do,” and he’s not the only celebrity we can expect to see soon.
The film also stars Diane Keaton, along with Richard Gere, Susan Sarandon, Emma Roberts and Luke Bracey, Backstage tells us. Filming is taking place in Cranford and Montclair, with an Edgemont Road home in Montclair across from Edgemont Park as one of the locations.
The excitement started in Cranford on Friday, when Keaton and Macy showed up to film for the movie at The Cranford Theater and Craven BBQ. Montclair gets its turn when filming begins in March.
And if you happen to look like Keaton, Gere, or Sarandon, you could get paid to be a stand-in for the actors. How many of the movie’s stars will make their home at The George Hotel?
It’s not the first time Montclair has been the scene for a star-studded movie. Folks in Montclair remember when “Analize This” and “Analyze That” were filmed in Montclair, first on Park Street in Upper Montclair and then for the sequel on Wayside Place.
Expect more celebrity sightings in Montclair and the movie’s stars to make their home at The George Hotel.
