  • Broadway veteran Dwayne Clark brings his acclaimed show, A Portrait of Ray, to Vanguard Theater beginning on Friday, February 25, for seven performances only, as part of the New Jersey Theater Alliance’s Stages Festival.
  • The Price Is Right Live™ is the hit interactive stage show that gives eligible individuals the chance to “Come On Down” to win. See it at Mayo PAC tonight at 7:30 pm.
  • Mayo PAC presents The Life and Music of George Michael on Friday, February 25 at 8 pm.
  • Alton Brown is at Myo PAC on Saturday, February 26 at 8 pm with a new culinary variety show. Audiences can expect more comedy, more music, more highly unusual cooking demos, and more potentially dangerous sciencey stuff.
  • Ballet Folklórico is Mexico’s most revered traditional dance company. They will perform at Mayo PAC on Sunday, February 27 at 3 pm.

Film

  • Express Newark’s Community Media Center, in partnership with The Newark Museum of Art, presents Why Is We Americans? (2020) on Friday, February 27 at 7 pm.

  • The West Orange Classic Film Festival continues on Sunday, February 27 with “Young Frankenstein” (1974), with an appearance by local film critic Stephen Whitty.

Comedy

  • Comedian, actor, and author Colin Quinn performs at SOPAC on Friday, February 25 at 8 pm.
  • NJPAC presents Saturday Night Live! standup comic, sketch comedian, improviser, actor, and rapper— Chris Redd on Sunday, February 27 at 7 pm.

Art & History

  • Explore 200 years of Black history in Montclair and New Jersey through rare first-hand accounts, primary and secondary source documents at the Crane House & Historic YWCA this Sunday, February 27 at a guided tour beginning at 12, 1, and 2 pm.
