• Celebrate 80 years of George Clinton, the “Godfather of Funk” behind Parliament and Funkadelic at NJPAC on Friday, March 18 at 8 pm.

• The Dirty Dozen Brass Band is teaming up with Nathan and the Zydeco Cha Cha’s to celebrate the sounds of New Orleans at SOPAC on Sunday, March 20 at 7:30 pm.
• NJPAC presents all your favorite ‘90s dance music on Saturday, March 19 at 8 pm.  Come dance the night away to dance freestyle, house, dancehall, Latin, and pop. Robin S. (“Show Me Love”), CeCe Peniston (“Finally”), and Black Sheep (“Flavor of the Month”) are only the beginning of this epic lineup.

Film

• The Clairidge presents 50th Anniversary screenings of The Godfather this weekend.
• The 22nd annual New Jersey Jewish Film Festival (NJJFF) begins this Sunday, March 20, and run through April 10. Both in-persona and virtual screenings will be offered.

Theater & Dance

• Alan Cumming and Ari Shapiro both transport audiences to other worlds through their stories. Now, they’re joining forces in SONG at Mayo PAC on Saturday, March 19 at 8 pm.

Comedy

• Gary Gulman is one of the greatest working comedians today—the comic the other comics wait around to watch. See him at NJPAC on Friday, March 18 at 8 pm and Saturday, March 19 at 8 pm.

Social Events

• Egan & Sons throws its annual St. Patrick’s Day Celebration today, March 17 all day long!
• Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day at Tierney’s Tavern today, March 17,  and enjoy 350 lbs of corned beef, tons of Guinness, traditional Irish Music, and bagpipers!
• Montclair Brewery throws a Saint Patrick’s Day Irie Fest today, March 17 from 2–11 pm.
