Watchung Booksellers Hosts Virtual Event with Author and Publisher Jonathan Galassi

MONTCLAIR, NJ — Watchung Booksellers welcomes acclaimed poet and publisher Jonathan Galassi to discuss his new novel “School Days” in a virtual event with Arthur Levine, publisher of Levine Querido, on Wednesday, May 11, at 7:00 p.m.

In “School Days,” Sam Brandt, a former student turned English teacher at a renowned New England boarding school, has been asked to help investigate a charge of abuse brought by one of his classmates. Flooded with memories, he delves into reflections of love and sex, friendship and rivalry, desire and power, and the age-old dance of benevolence and attraction between teacher and student.

Jonathan Galassi is the chairman of Farrar, Straus and Giroux. He is a former poetry editor for the Paris Review, a former chairman of the Academy of American Poets, and the recipient of a Guggenheim fellowship for poetry. Arthur Levine is the founder of Levine Querido and former publisher of Arthur A. Levine Books, an imprint of Scholastic.
