Party In The Street: Valley Road To Close Saturday For Upper Montclair Sidewalk Sale

Montclair, NJ – Upper Montclair is the place to be this Saturday when the Upper Montclair Business Association (UMBA) will host its 46th annual Sidewalk Sale. More than 35 businesses will participate and offer the sales that attract customers each and every year. Come support small businesses who have been in Montclair for decades as well as welcome many new businesses to the district, such as clothing stores Kaight and J. McLaughlin, fitness studio Ride It and new wine store The Grape Collective. Valley Road will be closed between Lorraine Ave and Bellevue Ave.

The street will be full of music with live performances in front of The General Store on Bellevue Ave. and Barbara Eclectic on Valley Rd as well as a DJ in front of Montclair Diner. Beyond the Boogie will have special dance performances and a community dance lesson! Little Daisy is hosting a Decorate-Your-Own cookie table from 1-3 pm. Head over to Wiliams Sonoma from 9-1 p.m. and try a Kurly Kürtősh! There’s much more going on that day, so people should check with their favorite businesses for specials and activities.

Always reaching out to the community, UMBA invites many non-profit organizations like the Woman’s Club of Upper Montclair, Montclair Ambulance Unit, and various groups from Montclair High School just to name a few. They will be promoting upcoming events and ways to support our town throughout the year.

Parking will be available in the lots behind Valley and off Bellevue Ave., as well as street parking on Lorraine and North Mountain.
