Bloomfield, NJ – Join Temple Ner Tamid on Thursday, May 2 at 7:30 pm for a discussion with the new director of the New Jersey Division on Civil Rights, Sundeep Iyer. The event will be held in person at Temple Ner Tamid, 936 Broad Street, Bloomfield. This event is co-sponsored by Temple Ner Tamid and the Montclair chapter of the NAACP.
Iyer, along with moderator Amy Winkelman of TNT, will discuss the role of the New Jersey Division on Civil Rights in dealing with discrimination in housing, education, and lending, and the rise in bias incidents and hate crimes across the State. They will also discuss Iyer’s legal career including his role as one of the lead prosecutors in the George Floyd murder case.
