Envy By Melissa Gorga

Envy By Melissa Gorga, of RHONJ, the boutique at 609 Bloomfield Avenue in Montclair is currently closed, but whether it’s temporary or permanent, isn’t clear. According to a Us Weekly Magazine article on January 3, Gorga’s boutique is closed temporarily because of a “difference of opinion” with her business partner, Jackie Beard Robinson. Gorga’s rep told the magazine that the shop will reopen with new inventory in the spring. The website claims the same thing, as does a sign on the storefront.

Gorga modeled inventory on the boutique’s Facebook page on December 30. She also tweeted the following response to a fan on January 3: Continue Reading

One Savvy Design Owners Opens Nouvelle, a New Boutique for Women in Upper Montclair

BY  |  Friday, Dec 16, 2016 2:15pm

Need a dress for the holidays? There’s a new boutique in town that has it, and more!

Nouvelle, at 629 Valley Road in Upper Montclair, sells gorgeous women’s clothing with a range of fashion, comfort, layering pieces and undergarments. It’s the second shop in Montclair for owner Arlene Carrini, who have owned One Savvy Design, a high end consignment shop on Church Street for the past 5 years.

“Last winter everyone was buying sweaters and I couldn’t keep them in stock so I started to buy brand new merchandise to fill in some of the requests my customers had,” explains Arlene. “Every time I would go to the trade shows in the city I would find myself buying more and more great items that I fell in love with and that would service the needs of my customers. With that, Nouvelle in Upper Montclair was created! Nouvelle means new, which was the opposite of One Savvy Design Consignment. I am so happy to have the best of both worlds,” she adds.

Nouvelle can dress a woman from A to Z. Bralettes, leggings, comfortwear, blouses, and holiday outfits dresses… are just some of what the boutique offers. Prices average between $60 – $120, with some items below and some higher end. I purchased a gorgeous skirt ($68) that was just perfect for my husband’s office holiday party this past weekend and Arlene was on hand to help me find the perfect outfit. She’s friendly and knowledgable, like having your best friend shopping with you.

629 Valley Road, Montclair, NJ 07043
Open Tuesday – Sat 10 am – 6 pm / Thurs 10 am – 7 pm / Sunday 12 pm – 5 pm
