Amelia Brubaker at Trend Coffee & Tea House
September 13 @ 7:30 pm - 8:30 pm
Amelia Brubaker has a musical soul that dates back many decades before she was born. With her velvety soprano, Amelia recreates songs that have become the part of the soundtrack of many people’s lives, young and old. Don’t be surprised when Amelia shifts gears from classic rock to indie alternative to time-honored standards in the same set. She fluidly connects the dots between Laura Nyro to The Smiths to Amy Winehouse to make for an experience only Amelia can deliver.
Amelia’s performance at Trend Coffee and Tea House on Friday, September 13, at 7:30 p.m. will be her first live appearance as a solo artist in Montclair.
Amelia has previously performed in Gaslamp Players’ productions including Les Miserables and the musical showcase, It’s a Revolution. An accomplished dancer, Amelia performs with the Junior Performance Workshop Ensemble at The Sharon Miller Academy of the Performing Arts. Last summer, Amelia studied improvisational comedy at Montclair Film and she sings with the Montclair High School honors choir.
Amelia is currently in rehearsals for The Tap Dance Kid directed by the original Tap Dance Kid, Savion Glover. The show is scheduled for September 14 and 15 at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center in Newark.
